The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
I'd love to join her. :)Have a fabulous weekend.Liz @ MLC
Why thank you Liz!
A very nice photo of Shirley! A cup of tea sounds really good to me now. Happy weekend!
nice to see a woman enjoying a cup of tea.
I'm inspired to brew a pot! Happy weekend and photo hunt!
I love this shot. You caught such a great look in her eyes. They look like they're smiling eyes.
Did you make the tea for her?
Thankyou. Nursie I did make the tea for her!
I hope she had a charming Chelsea bun to go with that tea...
Ah the bun went with an earlier cuppa Gleds!
I'm making a cup of tea right now to enjoy it with Shirley. Thank you for the inspiration. I don't do this often enough. I don't know why I always fix a mug of coffee instead of lovely tea in my nice English China. This photo is so graceful...
she seems to be enjoying her cup of tea. i like tea too though i'm a coffee person :)Mine is up too: http://upto6only.com/2011/08/19/photohunt-drink/
I find it interesting to see how she cradles the cup when drinking her cup of tea. :)
she looked away...a bit camera-shy, perhaps?:p
Lovely! even during the hot august nights I enjoy one too.Happy weekend!drink
you can never go wrong with tea. i love her expressive eyes.
Nice shot, a cup of tea always makes me happy!
I hope you made that for her! It's great she's willing to be your subject. :)
Oops, reading the comments, I see you DID Make it for her. Good not-husband!
Great picture for the "drink" theme! In fact, I am going to have a cup of tea myself... Pomegranate Green Tea mmmmmmmm
What a lovely photo - her eyes is telling me something! lol. I never really appreciated a cup of tea until I went to a cold country :D
Now that's true. Nothing like a cup of tea on a cold night... and a very large whisky!
She looks pretty serious about that tea! LOL! I'm a coffee drinker as you can see HERE, but my hubby is a tea drink! Happy weekend!
Tea is a nice, healthy drink. Much like Jack's.
Great literal take on the theme, and a lovely black-and-white photo of Shirley!
sometimes there is joyn in taking the easy route - not often, but sometimes. :-)Have a brilliant weekend!
Nice cup, looks like she is enjoying it!
Nice one Jams.
perfect for the theme@
Drink is a topic I am always for. Not that cap of tea is my cup of tea, but the shot is very good.
Why thank you!
oh, the tea! i should be having it!
Seems I'm the only one who can figure out what's really happening as you try to mend fences... The eyes are looking at a cat and a plan is forming, hence the flicker of a smile behind the mug...
Haha Andrew you know the signs!
