The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Electric Prunes - I had too much to dream last night
One of my favourite songs from the 60s. Music for a cracked rib, Part 1
I hope you get on the mend from your cracked rib soon, jams. Especially for the sake of the not wife. They don't call it "ribbed for her pleasure" for nothing, you know!
I like classic rock, and golden oldies, so, this fit into my tastes. The lead singer is very pretty, might I add.

A cracked rib? May I ofer you a McDonald's McRib Sandwich as a replacement?
I'll have to come back later to listen, although the band name is intriguing. Electric Prunes could undoubtedly liven up a senior citizens center!
Oh please ewbl do you want me to suffer more??
The name is silly byut this is a great song! It was a very minor hit here in 1967
Nuggets (the label) if I'm not mistaken.
But no McNuggets I hope.. Nuggets was the record that spurred me to get into 60s garage stuff. After Nuggests came the Pebbles series and so on

This is definitely one of my all time favourites.
Sadly things are getting worse.. I've pulled another bloody muscle coughing. My back is on fire but I cant lie down. I hope that is the last of it!
Have a check on you tube there is more of their stuff (Get me to the world on time was a minor hit here too back in 1967)
