The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

I love Mimi. There's more behind that expression than her nominal mental capacity would indicate. But even if there weren't, I'd love her anyway. What a sweet face!
I don't know why but I keep thinking "The cat with kaleidoscope eyes.....Mimi in the sky with diamonds." Actually, her eyes are more a glowing radioactive green, but I don't know any songs that go like that.
