The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Susan Sarandon's finest moment on the silver screen
Susan Sarandon as Janet in the Rocky Horror Picture Show - Touch me (or is it touch a, touch a, touch me?)
Oh yes and she has every right to be proud of her role as Janet. I love the Rocky Horror Show. George Clooney has Revenge of the Killer Tomatoes in his early filmography, Susan Sarandon ahs this. Lucky Susan!
A friend of mine used to play the Tim Curry part (Dr. Franknfurter?) at a Houston theater for years. Then he married a Mormon, stopped drinking, smoking, clubbing, and apparently, left cross dressing behind too.
That is a sad loss the the Rocky Horror scene EWBL. Frank n furters are born, not created!
It's so much fun Elizabeth. I did see it on stage just once. Ade Edmundson out of teh Yougn Ones was Brad, Tim McInerny out of Black Adder (Lord Percy) was Frank n Furter

Sigh!
Sarandon was then, and is today, a lovely woman.
Rocky Horror was then, and is today, a passing strange cult film!

I think it was her best role, too. Bless her heart, at least she's been able to move past it.
Great movie!!

The film lost me when a transvestite killed Meatloaf. Meatloaf was popular back in those days.
He certainly was in the late 70s. I never cared much for his stuff though. Soemthing abotu Jim Steinman and his ferocious overproduction I think.
