Phenomenal pic, Jams. - On top of a hill, inmidst the forest we have a 'snowflake-meadow' in our neighbourhood, and at least once in March we'd visit 'our' Märzbecherwiese. Wonderful!

Andree I must admit there is a bit of manipulation but the effect is achieved by stopping down the lens as far as possible and shooting with flash.

Flowers similar to this only have about a 6 week growing season before the Houston heat and humidity strangles the life out of them(and the humans).
