WW - Leucojum vernum
Or the Spring Snowflake. This week's entry for the Tuesday and Wednesday edition of Wordless Wednesday.
Phenomenal pic, Jams. - On top of a hill, inmidst the forest we have a 'snowflake-meadow' in our neighbourhood, and at least once in March we'd visit 'our' Märzbecherwiese. Wonderful!
lucky you! What a gorgeous blossom with those little touches of green. The black background is stunning. Only once, and accidentally, was I able to get black.
Wow! This is really beautiful Jams. Loved the green color on the tip of each petals. Thanks for sharing these. I really love your blog too. i hope you don't mind that I've included you in my blogroll. Good day! :-)

SOrry I should have said. Sophie thanks I wi;; return the compliment.
Andree I must admit there is a bit of manipulation but the effect is achieved by stopping down the lens as far as possible and shooting with flash.
Wonderful form against the black background.
Flowers similar to this only have about a 6 week growing season before the Houston heat and humidity strangles the life out of them(and the humans).
It's a gorgeous flower!
It's a beauty but definitely for cooler climates..
