The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
The muted colours make this one look meaner than the other one.
That is true Cherie. To be honest I was not being too serious with the title on the first one!
I like this one a lot. I rather like this stern Celena. And I covet Tim's boots!
Thanks SE. With Knatolee coveting his hair and you coveting his boots I wonder if he will have much left!
I, however, covet nothing of Tim's (unless I am allowed to covet his friend... what Dear? Oh... apparently I'm not :(
Ah Sweet Dulcinea has you in your place Don Quiscottie!
For a sweet dear lady she can maintain a surprisingly firm tight grip sometimes... (for goodness sake my dear I was joking... the water running from my eyes is soaking the rug now... desist!)
Suffer, for Sweet Dulcinea is a vengeful mistress. Take your punishment like a man!
Great image. If I saw this out of context, I would have no idea what era it's from – could be any time from the '60s on.
Thanks Stan. I never thought of it having a timeless look. Now you have pleased me!
