The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

My New Year's Resolution is
to see if I can produce better portrait in 2012 than these ones:
As Andrew said: You've set the standard high, Shaun. That first picture and its companion (same subject from slightly further away) are two of my favourites of your work. Somehow I think you will achieve your goal. Your images have been getting better and better for some time now.
Oh and sort out my shit and my head....
