The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

I looks like he's trying to remember something and is checking the tip of his tongue for clues.I don't know why, but a lot of older cats do that. Maybe they are tired of coughing up hair balls?
