A happy coincidence

I know that some people may find it a bit odd for people to be so upset over the loss of a cat but that is the nature of the bond between a person and their pets.

There was one post that gave me a smile today over at Bryan's blog Why Now As we found that Ted had died Bryan posted a picture of his new neighbour: a young black and white tuxedo cat called, of all things, TODD!

I hope that Bryan keeps a special eye out for Todd's activity. Perhaps a new evil genius arrives as another dies!

So... TED has died. Long live TODD. The evil baton may have been passed along mysterious routes. We need pictures of TODD and careful reports of his activities. I'll take a look at Bryan's place. Don't think I have ever visited

Well I looked, and Todd's a beauty.

I wonder if sometime in the middle of last night Todd experienced a weird sensation coming all over him and suddenly felt inclined to get up to more mischief in the future?

Here's hoping that another tux will keep the flame!

He is a handsome young fellow isn't he! Perhaps he is building his fortress of evil as I write!

Not "odd" at all by the way. I know that the loss of such a companion over many years is a very significant event. I hope the remaining furry friends can help you through.

How wonderful!

Oh yes, most people don't understand the depth of bond possible between humans and other animals, which really is their loss.

About a week after Jack the Cat died, my neighbour asked me why so glum. I said I missed Jack.
He said oh get over it, it's been a week already.

So I hope you come across more of the people who know you lost a beloved family member, and manage to avoid or ignore those people who think you should just get another one, as if Ted could be easily replaced in the manner of a consumer item.

Peace.

This post gave a little tingle through my spine.

Endings always lead to new beginnings, although we don't always notice them.

TODD will carry the flame ;-)

Todd is working under a severe handicap - we don't have basements on the Gulf Coast because the water table is so high. He did upset his 'staff' when he disappeared into the attic by climbing the stacked boxes.

He does seem very interested in electrical systems, and is attracted by the sound of power tools ...

The bonds we forge with pets are very strong Syncy. They are surrogate children for us.

I look forward to hearing that Todd creates mayhem in Florida!

Well construction and electrics are quite a start Bryan The boy has potential!

Todd needs his own website. Or at least regular appearances at Bryan's place. I'll be keeping a look out. At least if the evil has migrated to Florida there is an ocean protecting me now, rather than just Hadrian's wall.

I hope that Bryan features Todd frequently. At least the realm is safe and Bebe who Ted bullied mercilessly is probably not regretting his departure
