The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Long as you can scratch where it counts, everything else is minor inconvenience.(Have you ever noticed that men in cast are an easy object for cheap hilarity?)Anyhoo, get better and out of this abomination soon.

Argh. Never had my leg plastered up like that, but I've had an arm cast up to the shoulder and it's not a bit of fun.Hope they're at least givin you some good drugs for it.
I can bet the arm was no fun either. I have Tramadol for pain relief.. It's good stuff!
