The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
What a pity! If they clean it up a little, it'll be a great place for a stroll :)
great and cool place... thanks for dropping by.
Thanks. It's a wonderful place Napaboaniya. For me the wildness of the place is a thing to love, especially when the bulbs are in bloom in spring
Looks a bit errie. Maybe bcos it's a black and white pic.
Pretty spooky looking place! But a great shot. Almost looks as though something is disturbing the air right in the center but you can't see it.
love the camera effect! I know it is was probably not an easy shot... good job... :)
the blurry effect in the middle of the picture looks like a time warp u can step into!
I lived in a place once where the garden was a little wild, a little overgrown, and I actually preferred it that way. Sometimes, we can get a bit too manicured about our gardens.Tink *~*~*Yet More Disney Characters Who Wear RED
It looks eerie, I hope somebody cleans it up. It'll be great for strolls and picnics.
What's that in the middle? Are those ferns? It looks kinda scary.Happy WW.Moms... Check NyoYummy-as-can-be
It looks like a wonderful place, I wonder why it's been abandoned. Happy WW.My entries. Here and here.
That's a great shot. I love wild gardens.
the picture is a little bit blurry but it seems a good place to visits..
What a shame... beautiful pic, thoughMy post...
All mystery and magic. I love it.
Thats a crazy shot...Wow. Happy WW:)
Slightly mysterious.Happy WW!
That is beautiful. I makes me think of The Secret Garden, which I am reading for the 100th time. LOL.Lovely. Happy WW!
abandoned? I wonder if it's haunted. :P
That's a really great photo, especially in black and white. It looks like it has been blurred a bit - I like the effect - but I'm wondering if it's just a trick of my eyes looking at wild growth in the abandoned garden. The imagery and concept of these abandoned spaces always intrigues me, I often look for things like that around the city, like vacant or neglected lots.
It certainly does have that un-tended look, but sometimes that's a good thing.
Very cooooooooooool shot :)My compliments !!(@^.^@)
I adore monochrome.
SO do I James. It gves a better feel for texture and contrast than colour
It looks like a place for fairies and magic. Great photo!Tabbikat's Thoughts
whoa nice pic....thnks for dropping by
The b&w gives it a great mysterious feel. What's that in the center? Were you shooting with a filter or through glass? How's the leg doing by the way?
Thanks... I used a filter to get the effect Robin. The leg is on teh mend but there's another couple of weeks in the cast sadly
Spooky looking! And that DOES look like a time warp in the middle. Weird.
A most unusual shot, I love whatever it is that's giving the look of an explosion in the middle of the pic. I guess it is a big fern of some sort.Anyways great photo and Happy TT! :)
Looks kinda creepy, like you could run into ghosts there at night.
I'm a kind of, yes, Wordless
The blurry part in the middle somehow makes it look like a magical place. It's sad that the garden is abandoned.
