The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Zahra Rahnavard is the wife of Mir-Hossein Mousavi. She is a well lnown academic and artist in her own right.

Let the wolves know that in our tribe
If the father dies, his gun will remain
Even if all the men of the tribe are killed
A baby son will remain in the wooden cradle
A discreet call to further action? Time will tell
