The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

I remember this feature on the Trisha show (don't think it would have come on Jeremy Kyle)... where this grown man drest in rubber to take his grown girlfriend out walkies on a lead like a dog. They were into that master/submissive stuff and she said how much she liked being led into the butchers like that to buy a string of sausages; then off to Wilkinsons for toenail clippers then on perhaps to HMV to browse CDs before doing Morrisons and going home...... well your photo reminded me of that...!!
