The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Thanks all. Chris, the photos was taken with with the "very vivid" colour seting which boosted the colour. I did adjust contrast and brightness a little too.

wow! that's a perfect shot!
Very hairy indeed. Love the red eyes.
An amazing shot!
Incredibly detailed! I can't wait until I get a better camera. What kind do you use? (I know that the quality of the photo also depends on the skill of the photographer - but I'm hoping that a better camera can help even someone like me! LOL)
hairy hairy, amazing detail! happy WT!
fantastic captured! thumbs up!
Creepy!! Happy WW :)
So clear! What kind of camera do you use?
Mama Pajama, the key things about any camera are accurate metering and good quality optics. A lot of functions that come with cameras are a waste of time. A good entry level Digital SLR like a Nikon D40 would be a great camera to have.Shrijnana, I use a Nikon D200. THe photos was taken with a macro lens and a ring flash
that picture is amazing. i definitely need a better camera.
WOw, amazing captured. The colors are great! I need a good camera too. *wink*
That is one ugly bug! Great close up though! Happy WW!

I was a little worried when I read you were taking pictures of your fly, jams...... I was like, "What is The Poor Mouth resorting to for higher ratings??!!?"Great picture! Glad the fly is up;not down.
Hubby has a *very* good camera, maybe I should 'nick' it and experiment a little?
Oh *groan* Yukko! I hate flies!
Look its Vincent Price reincarnated. The fine hairs like projections enable flies to climb walls and hang upside down.
Thanks for all your oohs and ewws!
