The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Ooooh, I didn't know that a Nigella was a flower variety! I keep thinking about domestic goddess, Nigella Lawson, and then I start thinking about that song, "We're just making plans for Nigel."
Oh yes, Nigella is easy to grow.. It's also called love in a mist..which is faintly rude! The flower being sexual parts and the leaves, such as they are, being reminiscent of pubic hair.. mot that I ahve green hair in that region - nowadays it's grey (sighs)
