The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
I am going to invest in a new tripod today Ren. I don't like them as I find them awkward to use. But for shots where I stop down heavily and don't want to use flash, it's a must.
I tok this pic in Aperture priority mode with a close up filter (f36 ad 1/60th sec but with teh flash). A tripod would have allowed me to use natural light - so long as it wan't windy of course!

I've done photography for decades. I never take good flower pix.
