The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Asagohan
A parody of the first movement of Beethoven's 5th symphony. Well I enjoyed it!
It's actually very well done. It would attract customers if a restaurant would hire them. I'm not crazy about the menu but autre temps, autres moeurs. To each its own....
jams, do you know those Hoffnung Festival recordings from the Fifties (Sixties?), one of which includes a sportscast of that same Beethoven movement. Yes, you read that right... a sportscast. Hilarious stuff, as is the one you posted.

Update: Fifties. Hoffnung died in 1959.
I certainly do know of Hoffnung. I will have to reacquaint myself now!
