The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

The song is Scottish, and in a transcript of the original from which we used to perform it, "sweet" is rendered "suet." Indeed, 30 years ago, when our group leader called that tune, she would shout out, "Suet face!"
Oh that she is Bryan. Her only vices are stealing the not wife's slippers - she thinks they are kittens - and she wakes us up by biting our toes (get up or stay in bed either way I get fed!).

Thanks Jessica! Bekaerkin, she gets lots of afection and all the food she can eat. I doubt she worries about half a photo!!!
