The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
I didn't know he was in Husker Du. You know that Satellite station I told you about that plays old alternative stuff like Robyn and SPparks? They play a lot of Bob Mould too. And Hoodoo Gurus.
It really sounds like my sort of radio station. Bob Mould and Grant Hart were the mainstays. Mould ahs had a fairly successful career. Hart seems to have vanished
I've lost touch with Bob Mould's work in the last decade. last dog and pony sho and Modulate did not appeal to me at all. THis album is excellent though, as were his first two solos.

Nobody brings melody to noise as well as Bob Mould - one of my favourites is Husker Du's 'Books about UFOs' off Candy Apple Grey
I agree. He has had an excellent career but deserved more success.
UFOs is on New Day Rising, isn't it?
You may be right Jams - my cd's are all stuck in a container :{
