The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
A spot-on comedic insight.
Glad you think so Calum!
I've never heard of him. He has a point ...!
That was a very amusing line.:)
Hooray for Aussies! :)
His show was very funny. This was a line that always stuck in my mind. Glad you all like it!
He is so right though, more important things to worry about than wrinkles.
He certainly is Nunyaa!
Thanks for that. I used to really enjoy the Micallef Programme and have never come across anyone else who had heard of it.The strange thing is that I can remember finding it funny, but can't remember a single line from it.
We're a bit thin on teh ground here by looks of it. THe not wife even has the shows on dvd. This was the one quote that always stuck in my mind
I like his name. :)I'll make a prediction. No matter how big Shaun Micallef becomes, he will never be asked to be a product spokesman for skin care products!
Haha that's true. I somehow can't see him as a spokesman for L'Oreal!
