The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Looks fierce! Nevertheless, Happy WW Jams! :)
Very cool shot!:) Happy Wordless;)
Rodin is always impressive. This statue has soul!
A very fine piece! Just as Sandy says, it has life.
We can never get enough Rodin.
a little bit scary but nice shot, very expressive.happy WW.mine is up here .
This is a great shot. Rodin was such an incredible sculptor. I'm getting so excited because my state's museum received a gift of 23 Rodins and is in the process of building a special gallery and garden for them. I can hardly wait. Fun in the meantime to see his work on blogs. JMB also did a post some time ago where she featured some of Rodin's work which is at the Philadelphia Museum.
Neat shot! Deep eyes!
Great sculptured ..nice post..
That's cool, I'd love to see it in person sometime.
so Rodin was the art director for Terminator 2? That's what this guy reminds me of... Cool shot though.

Great shot...Happy WW.
Thank you Jams. I have no idea what piece this one is? You are making me want to find my old 35mm pictures we took. But they weren't annotated either...
Rodin's sculptures are amazing. When I was a teenager a teacher of mine took me to see a set of sculptures he did of men condemned to death. It was something like nine men done in bronze, all larger than life-sized. The the poses and facial expressions were incredible.
What a stern expression! Happy WW, Jams.
It's a beautiful shot of a beautiful piece. The Museum in Paris has to be the most beautiful place in the world. You're giving me itchy feet again!!:)
Hmmmmm...Reminds me of my 7th grade Algebra teacher! I'm certain Rodin's gentleman has a lot more heart.~~~Blessings~~~

Nice one! It's good to see something other than The Thinker =) Happy WW!
The Rodin Museum was the gift of movie theater magnate Jules Mastbaum to the city of Philadelphia. Mastbaum began collecting works by Rodin in 1923 with the intent of founding a museum to enrich the lives of his fellow citizens.------------------AdamViral Marketing
