The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
For no apparent reason Ted climbed up onto the tattiest of our of our three arches and went to sleep. Just to be perverse (as cats ALWAYS are) He just woke up as I took the photo.
He certainl is Bryan. HAving said that he used to have a habit of getting onto the kitchen roof then invariably fall off. His plummeting to the groud was a frequent sight!
For us Ren it would be like trying sit on a razor blade... for Ted, well Ted is Ted and I can't explain him!
He looks as comfy and balanced as if he were on a soft pillow. Some of my cats have been known to lose their balance on a comfy pillow though. That's what happens when you are shaped like a bowling ball.
Why do they find the MOST uncomfortable place always, I wonder. Ren gave me an idea with that razor. (I won't update re my cat's misdeeds now, even if she deserves it. It would be too long.)
What a wonderful picture, jams! Sometimes I wonder how cats manage their nearly impossible poses... while sleeping, no less. I've seen one of Stella's cats fall off the edge of a cat perch while sleeping, but she (the cat) just pretended it was intentional.
O love that "nothing happened - you saw nothing Human" expression of theirs... I daresay the orientation of their limbs and a nice balancing tail help enormously.
Sti;; when he did that I could not let such a photo op pass

That doesn't look comfortable.

Cats seem to be able to relax in the most uncomfortable of places.

I have no idea what constitutes comfy for cats blueberry.. he was happy up there.
I take it MsCsili has been up to her evil deeds again? Surely she is the child of Beelzebub!
the fathers I may not know. There were several. Such are cat morals. Her mother was a very decent cat.
