The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Robyn Hitchcock - Adventure Rocket Ship
Adventure Rocket Ship appears on Robyn's new album Ole Tarantula. In my (extremely biased) view is is a wonderful song that should be purchased and loved by everyone! It is a great song from one of Robyn's very best albums
Strangely when punk was around Robyn would have been seen as an "anti-punk"! Not that the Soft Boys were doing 40 minute self indulgent craparama like Yes or Emerson Lake and Wanker. The Soft Boys were about close harmonies. If you can get a chance to hear it listen to Underwater Moonlight, the Soft Boys' second album from 1980. Perhaps one of the finest albums ever made

Robyn also paints, draws and writes short stories. He also has interest in abstract art.
OT: This is my favorite artist now.
