The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

A blue mood... ? Looking up worriedly at a Blue Moon ?
I love dropping by to see what you will do with the theme. That is an interesting headstone. The mind can take the expression on her face in many directions. Nice work.
What a lovely take on the blue theme, so original it makes me cringe at what I posted!! How nice to learn something with the photo too, thank you so much for sharing it.
I would love to visit some of the world's older cemeteries. We in the US get excited if we find one over 100 years old. I can't imagine what it would be like to see the art work displayed in graveyards. Thanks for yet again, another great shot. ~~~Blessings~~~
that's some shot, jams! kind of spooky in a certain way too. must be the halloween thingmajig around. lol thanks for stopping by. hey, any idea who this person was?

Looks like it has survived many a blue moon or something.
Excellent for the theme, and spooky holiday! Have a great weekend Jams!
That's a beautiful choice for the blue theme. Happy weekend.
How's your shoulder? I did my back, but it's settling down. Oh dear - can't do much housework - what a shame!
My digital scrapbook place has been talking about that cemetery in your "blue" post! What a coincidence! :)
I didn't have to look very far for blue this week. Only as far as, who is that sitting on the pool table?
She used to model for Picasso during his Blue Period... ?
THanks everyone. Haha Aileni!
The wall should have been white but turned blue because the person feels blue?
So many possibilities :)
Oh I love cemeteries. You have inspired me to visit ours and try taking some photos.
NICE PHOTO JAMS
It's going to be too much of a whizzy weekend to join in this week but I can see you've done some whizzing about of your own.
Best wishes
What this blue art wants to bring the message of?
This is really wonderful!
Hauntingly "Blue"tiful!
Wow, what a cool and moody blue photo. I love the texture of this one.
Love the "Picasso" comment too, LOL.
Thanks for visiting mine and have a great weekend!
Wow this looks really nice. It is a carving or a painting? I couldn't differentiate it.
Very ghostly. And sad looking -- which I guess is appropriate seeing as your photo is of something in a cemetery!
I thinking you are stretching it again Jams, but it is a very interesting photo and subject. Have a great weekend.
That's really interesting - I love the detail here.
Please stop by if you get the chance - I'm "Blue" on so many different levels this week!
