The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Ah yes, sorry I didn't get the reference initially. I do use diffuser and soft focus filters a lot either, My Tiffen filters were bloody expensive so I decided I would make sure I got my money's worth out of them

Ha ha ha. Amongst my colleagues and me 'Hamilton effect' was a friendly humourous/an ironic comment on blurred photos / photos out of focus. Thus, I was just trying to make a joke, my friend. Not only Englishmen do sometimes have a strange sense of humour. Some Germans do have a certain talent, too.
