The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

I had to look it up elasticwaistbandlady.. You know what? they do indeed look like a lorax!i's a long time since I saw a Doctor Seuss book...
It is in my back garden mullets. in bloom it has large daisy like flowers on stalks rising up to about 9 feet high. They had stopped flowering leaving seed heads. photographed them against a rather overcast sky.

HA! Straight outta Dr.Seuss! They look like something from The Lorax Tree.
Gone are the days when I quoted Nietzsche and read NY Times bestseller books. Now, it comes down to referencing Dr.Seuss in all things.*sigh*
