Gorgeous bumble bees! Do you buy local honey over there or store bought? There's a farm down the road from us where the bees gorge on oranges and clover and churn out a fine product. They said that consuming local honey will help to immunize you from local airborne allergents.

lovely. i have one bumblebee- we call him 'spy bee' because he'll bumble up to the picture window as if he is peeping inside. i think he just wants to eat the wood on the front porch :)

Bumbles are insects we get in spades. They love our plants, especially the Echinops. As for honey we get some store bought but I do like to go to a local farm to pick up home made stuff. Great stuff. Also great as a dressing too well Manuka Honey is and it is nice and strong tasting too

That is dedication mullets but obviously worth the effort even if there are African bees involved!

lol betmo, it is nice to think he is looking in on your life eh? I am so glad we get them. We also had a small honey bee hive one year but they left, sadly. It is nice also to see the occassional leaf cutter bee. I know they nest in our garden

I love your blog for this very reason. It's not just politics 24/7. It always gives me some amazing photography to look at.
