The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Photo Hunt - Daily
The theme for this week's Photo Hunt is daily. This is the concourse at Liverpool Street station a place I traverse twice each workday
Thanks all. nursemyra the reason it is not so busy is that I tend to go to wrk late and leave the office late, That allows me to muiss the rush hour - a positive benefit since I still find it hard to walk sometimes a year after snapping a quadriceps tendon
If I had still been living in Stockholm where I took the underground to get to a daily workplace I might have used that to solve this challenge. But by a quirk of fate, I stay at home every day and usually walk to get anywhere in my present location. I don't miss having to travel on public transportation every single workday. I am glad to not have to do it for a time. Maybe I will return to that kind of livestyle again some day. But in that case I hope it will be a well-paid job that is worth the effort. Very good photo and take on this theme. Hope you have a lovely Sunday. (I am so late with this!) Anna

It doesn't look particularly busy - is that rush hour?
The only time I see a station like that is when I'm on vacation. Not a daily sight for me, for sure. Very cool pic.
Have a great weekend.

Wow! I can imagine how packed it would be daily. :)

You live in Liverpool? That's where my Irish in-laws lived. It's right across Dublin, isn't it?
Wow! love that interpretation :-)
Beautiful shot Jams. Never been there.
What an interesting shot and perfect for the theme. Happy weekend.
i like your monochrome shot...reminds me of old movies.:p
lovely treatment...I imagine how busy it looks all the more during rush hour.....it's good you don't bump on all of them ;) TC!
Great shot. And have to say that I really love London's great railway stations. :)
Really great work.
Not something I miss these days, the daily commute or the daily grind for that matter. Anyway I basically ignored the theme.
Happy weekend to you Jams
Great photo. I don't think I was in the Liverpool Street Stations when I was there.
The photo even has the communter feel to it.
Alice stole my comment!
GREAT photo! Almost looks like a watercolor!
Lovely post processing...
here's my entry
Very cool shot. Love the "movement".
Thanks everyone!
Very artistic daily shot! There is motion in the picture though it is rather quiet. Good that you can travel out of rush hours!
Wow, I love the way how the photos seems alive! :)
I can see the motion in this photo. Good one, Jams!
Not so many people there, I can see, but nevertheless, you convey the "busy-ness" very well!
Awesome photo!
My Daily Kitty

That is a GREAT shot and it fits the theme perfectly. Really nice job!
Thanks for visiting my blog.
What an awesome photo. I would take it conventionally, lacking the courage to try anything new. Now I have the courage!
That is a very cool photo. I love the way you composed it. It makes daily commute look less like a chore.
That's a wonderful shot, Jams. Lots of depth and interest.

In plain words: Worthy of winning an award!
Why thanks Sean
Claudia I live on the eastern edge of London. Liverpool Street is in the city, not far from the East End
That's a great picture and it looks just like I remember it - from donkey's years ago.
Very cool photo! Love your take on the theme this week.
