Guest avatars

It being the summer hols and the silly season and all that I thought I would give Robert Newton Calvert a little break and have a few guest avatars between now and the start of September

the first guest 1 is Josef Svejk, Jaroslav Hasek's glorious creation. Sadly I am closer in build to Josef S than I am to Robert C!

I am glad you posted an explanation. I don't like to say what the thumbnail version looked like :-)

That's a very good build, Jams. Corpulent people are, as a rule, happier and universally kind.

Mr. Schwejk is a fine one amongst us immortals. Thus, I shan't complain as long as next time you choose the right Avatar.

The very bicycle would do.

My esteemed colleague would not have thought of himself, bumble as he is, wouldn't he?

Careful boys and girls. There is no going back once what's done is done, you know. S =...(I'm sure you know the rest). There is, however, the universe in which I am not yet dead (although unfortunately some of you are). May I ask you to pass on one message? I am allowed one message... Tell that callow young fool Andrew to try to make compounds of the element Omnium. He probably won't succeed but it will help him pass the time, as S = ... (you know the rest... sorry, I'm a bit obsessed with Time's Arrow and all that. And if he does succeed, well... you'll soon know, all of you.

I will be more than happy to pass on the message!
