Photo Hunt - Open

The theme for the week's Photo Hunt is open. Thanks to Annie who thought the open cat mouth in my prebious post was diubling up as my photo hunt entry, I had the idea to go back to a photo I posted in 2007 before I joined the Hunt.

This is our dear departed Mimi who was a tiny cat but with a big gaping maw!

what a huge yawn--a great shot for OPEN.

Awesome photo. At first I thought it was one of Ted about to take his meatball meal revenge on you, as discussed a few days ago.

That image could easily have success as a commercial poster (as could so many of yours)

You're welcome! Glad to help. Your shot is awesome, much better than mine. I love the ridges on the roof of the their mouths. It's very lucky timing to get a photo of one of these great feline yawns.

Happy weekend!

The photo really makes it easy to see that domestic cats are related to wild ones! :D

I'm sure you had a lot of choice once you decided what to feature for this theme.

Happy weekend to you Jams.

To the mouse: This is the last thing you'll ever see.

Thanks everyone!

Steve , mercifully for mice Mimi was disabled so she never was a threat to thme.. Had she been a healthier creature the I bet she would have been their scourge!

Andrew thanks for your kind words. Mercifully Ted seems to have put my punishment aside!

I didn't think that was a cat!
Happy weekend, Jams.

I love the detail of the roof of the cat's mouth (maybe it's because I'm a biologist!)

CherryPie said...

That is very open, I don't think I would want to get too close to that mouth!

jams o donnell said...

Thanks but the irony was she was a tint cat with the sweetest disposition on the planet

CherryPie said...

Ahh! I see that mouth in a different light now, she was singing to us :-) Well probably you and the not wife ;-)
