The theme for the week's
Photo Hunt is open. Thanks to Annie who thought the open cat mouth in my prebious post was diubling up as my photo hunt entry, I had the idea to go back to a photo I posted in 2007 before I joined the Hunt.
This is our dear departed Mimi who was a tiny cat but with a big gaping maw!

what a huge yawn--a great shot for OPEN.
Awesome photo. At first I thought it was one of Ted about to take his meatball meal revenge on you, as discussed a few days ago.
That image could easily have success as a commercial poster (as could so many of yours)
That's a fantastic shot for the theme. Happy weekend.
I know an old lady who swallowed a fly .....
Good grief!
I wouldn't like to come across Satan on a dark night either!!
Looks more pink than green to me.
Marvellous, Jams.
You're welcome! Glad to help. Your shot is awesome, much better than mine. I love the ridges on the roof of the their mouths. It's very lucky timing to get a photo of one of these great feline yawns.
Happy weekend!
That looks like a roar! Great pic for the theme :)
How the hell did you find a picture of me 1st thing in the morning?
Do they make a sound when they do this?
oh wow, what a great photo for today's theme! loveee it!:p
The photo really makes it easy to see that domestic cats are related to wild ones! :D
I'm sure you had a lot of choice once you decided what to feature for this theme.
Happy weekend to you Jams.
nice choice for the theme. happy weekend.
What a mouth! Like a gaping cave! Mine is also a mouth - but no little pussy cat!
To the mouse: This is the last thing you'll ever see.
Thanks everyone!
Steve , mercifully for mice Mimi was disabled so she never was a threat to thme.. Had she been a healthier creature the I bet she would have been their scourge!
Andrew thanks for your kind words. Mercifully Ted seems to have put my punishment aside!
I didn't think that was a cat!
Happy weekend, Jams.

Looks like she could be related to a Tasmanian Devil! I love the textures in her tongue.

Oh My!!! What a BIG yawn that is just perfect for the open theme!!!
What a great shot on first glance I thought it was a bear:)

What a north and south...
At least Mimi looks a lot less threatening than Satan cat.

Mine's up -- My son, out in the open sea, swimming with the dolphins.
Now that is what you call an open mouth! Wonderful shot!
Thanks everyone!
I love the detail of the roof of the cat's mouth (maybe it's because I'm a biologist!)
That is very open, I don't think I would want to get too close to that mouth!
Thanks but the irony was she was a tint cat with the sweetest disposition on the planet
Ahh! I see that mouth in a different light now, she was singing to us :-) Well probably you and the not wife ;-)
