The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

photo hunt - Public
The theme for the week's Photo Hunt is public. This photograph of a public place was taken at Liverpool Street station in London
a scene from the movie "The Untouchables" popped into my mind.:p there was no escalator in that movie, stairs, yes. i guess it's the mood of this photo.:p
Ooooo, I've been there! Many years ago my college choir came to sing in England and Wales. Fun times . . . I'd love to come back to see how things have changed. We spent New Year's Eve in Trafalgar Square. I'll never forget the guy with pink and purple hair!
This is a great shot. I love it in black and white. The motion gives it an 'old time' feeling also. It doesn't look modern and could have been taken years ago.
Wonderful photography! I love black and whites, it evokes drama and sets the tone of the setting, like it's been taken long ago. Blurs always give us a feeling that it's in motion.

Neat photo! Definitely gives you the feeling of a place in motion :) Happy weekend!
I love all the motion in this image. And with b/w it feels like it's a scene from a movie.

I always feel a sense of drama in airports and railway stations, and this picture captures it perfectly for me!
Have an excellent weekend. :)
Great photo. I love railway stations. Now I'm wishing I'd used a station photo for my photo hunt this week! :)
I love it. You have captured the movement but also made it look like it could be from an old film. Very nice.
Nice photo of that public place - love the way it looks in black and white.
I love black and white pictures, but this B & w is a real bonus. It looks like it's moving in front of my eyes.
Great shot love it!

Works well in B&W. I always feel there's something very emotive about railway stations.
