Fischer Z - Marliese

An utterly forgotten 80s band who seemed to have gone down well in Germany I understand. This got to number one in Portugal. It did not chart here

My Papi dedicated that one to my notoriously chatty self. :) This doesn't apply to you though, jams. You're not just a babbling brook, there's always genuine little pearls of interest in your blog musings.

Now, as for Fischer, the lead guy sort of reminds me of Bryan Ferry. The skinny tie look made the video especially sweet.

You flatter me ewbl! More Please!!! Seriously, I am very glad you like my blog. I enjoy your blog very much too

John Watts never had Ferry's success of course (Roxy are back on the road.. A friend went to see them last month, mainly to humour his girlfriend and to ensure... No I digress!) Sadly the total number of Fischer Z songs I like can be counted exactly on one hand. Two of the others are available on youtube and will be blogged in due course.

I'm from Portugal and this song was on top at that time. Everyone here (above the 30's now) know this song for sure. Excelent from Fischer Z. And thank's for sharing the video!

Just for history, Fischer Z were the main attraction of a concert for a radio show back in 1981 here in Portugal. (Beware of goose pumps now :-) ) They performed before a crowd of over 40.000 (right, thousand) at the Alvalade Stadium, then the home of Sporting CP.
Still great listening after all these years.
