My first thought was that it looked like something out of a sci-fi movie. I was waiting for the metallic voice saying "People of Earth, attention. We come in peace."

(Lying beggars! They never came in peace!)

It reminds me of that movie with Jodie Foster when she was trying to contact the aliens. I believe it was actually called CONTACT. Great shot...Happy WW.

Great shot. I love the film "The Dish". You must see it if you haven't yet. I also love Wallace and Gromit, so thanks for the heads up on the new film. I suppose it'll take us longer to get it over here in the U.S. But I'm looking forward to it.

Hi Jams, that is a nice picture. I have always wanted to tour a radio telescope facility but never made it. I did work at an Air Force Satellite Tracking station way back when that had a 60 foot dish. It was never configured to be a telescope antenna but we did put it on the ham bands occasionally.
Happy WW! I am very late today.
