The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Beautiful Jams! I've just bought a planted arrangement with some pale grape hyacinth - first I've had since I was a kid.
For some reason I wouldn't plant them. Last autumn the not wife decided to put some out the front and I am glad she did!
I love those flowers! We called them blue matchheads in New Zealand
So you're enjoying spring, then. I love the smell of these.
