The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Photo Hunt - Birds
The theme for this week's Photo Huntis birds. So here are some birds... Top is a crow in flight outside my home. In the middle are two amorous pigeons in a neighbour's garden. Bottom is a sparrow tucking into sunflower seeds in Paris
These are all great. The pigeons make a sweet couple and that sparrow in the sunflower is wonderful. The crow almost looks like he's flying into a cyclone.
the top photo is my fave... it feels so... ominous- what with the grainy quality and just-caught-in-time angle... what camera did you use for the crow's pic?
Love all three of these. Pigeons are such goofy birds but they look positively romantic in your photo! The crow is elegant and the sparrow is adorable.

Great photos. The first one looks like it could be from the movie "The Birds"! Love how "in love" the two pigeons look in the second photo. Am a big fan of sunflowers. Cool photo of the sparrow.

I love the sparrow feeding on sunflower seeds. We both have scavenging sparrows. :)
