BNP member gets 11 years

Bus driver and BNP member Terrance Gavan member was jailed for 11 years having spent the last decade manufacturing firearms and explosives at his home in Batley, West Yorkshire.

Police discovered 54 improvised bombs including nail bombs and a booby-trapped cigarette packet, as well as 12 firearms. Apparently Gavan had "a fascination with things that go bang", but also a "strong hostility" towards immigrants. During his trial the court heard that he to target an address he had seen on a television programme that he believed was linked to the 7 July bomb attacks in London.

Gavan pleaded guilty to 22 counts including collecting information useful for terrorism and possessing explosives and firearms.

I wonder if Griffin will wring his hands over this member of the BNP "master race"?

Little bit of one, little bit of t'other here. If it was proved beyond reasonable doubt that this is what he intended - fine. 11 years.

However, there is also the case of anyone involved in home defence also being targetted and put away and it is a very sensitive issue now - I'm thinking of Myleene Klass whom the police, whom one can't rely on to defend us any more, told her she was breaking the law defending herself.

I'm quite circumspect when anyone these days is accused and convicted, especially the lies swirling around Britain and coming from the top.

Don't get me wrong - this might be a genuine case and so the 11 years might be fair.

Err James what is the colour of the sky in any world where nail bombs are considered to be reasonable home defence???

he stated in court that he was planning to use them against an address

I read an article recently that mentioned the irony of the fact that 60 years after the fact England and Germany could literally switch places if the BNP came to hold political power. True or an exaggeration?

In the sense of annexing the Sudetenland and invading Poland, then yes Susan!

Well OK - 11 years then. However, the rule of law is something considerably cheapened of late.

And yet our prison population is bigger than ever... Agreed there are occasions where the police act stupidly, eg Mylene Klass, but the prison population is hardly full of people putting glass in their plastic recylcling bins...

Come on, Jams, don't be too hard on the man. Can't a person enjoy a bit of a hobby?
