Rudy Giuliani 8 January
Dana Perino November 2009
I don't think Bill Clinton was still in the Oval Office on 11 September 2001... One slip of the tongue, especially on the part of Giuliani, would be forgiveable and easy to rectify as everyone makes mistakes. The two interviewers, Hannity and Stephanpolous(?), are clearly both incompetent, lazy hacks for letting that pass without clarification. Much as I think dislike Paxman's arrogance, he would gone for the jugular if either had said that on Newsnight!

That moron the shoe bomber happened on Bush's watch too.
Rudy fumbled up some explanation for his remarks later but he was still wrong.
I would give Giuliani the benefit of the dobt as to it being an error (we all make them) but it is plainly wrong.. Alto teh anthrax attack and something at LAX too wasn't there?
Gah
And so another chapter opens in the conspiracy theory and these clips are used as 'proof' that 9/11 was not a terrorist attack but a CIA plot!
Giuliani is unbelievable though. He was mayor of NY in 2001 wasn't he?
I daresay the tinfoil hat brigade will use it as proof Skuds!
I think he was but perhaps Winston Smith over at Minitrue has changed the records..... I jest.
Italians don't believe me when I tell them how Paxman and Humphreys go for the jugular!
I would love to have Paxman have a go at the US's political "leaders". We don't have anyone left in the US media who even makes the attempt, unless you include shows on Comedy Central.
Perhaps they shopuld visit the pens where Paxmans and Humphreys are kept Welshcakes!
I don't like Paxo but I do appreciate his ability to put politiciains on the spot Bryan
"We Had No Domestic Attacks Under Bush" but Saddam did have WMD in 2003.
The truth, Jams, you just don't recognise the truth! :)
Hold on those of us date the war on terror from after 9-11. Bush had been in office a very short time. It is one of those quotes that one familiar with events grasp in seconds.
Let me rephrase that Beakerkin, it does not matter how you cut it to say there was no terrorist act on Bush's watch is a stupid lie
Now you see why I don't listen to politicos. Well, almost, and when I do is because I consider a new post with some revealing shit in it...
A wise way to be Snoopy!
