The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
I love cats. Why do we love cats? Yes, they look good, but it's more their attitude that I love. I like dogs too, but cats have something special. We don't have either in the house now though. Am tempted, but then I remember the bother. This is indeed a wonderful picture.

He's still handsome though. Lovely portrait.
He is quite the handsome, distinguished gentleman!
Thanks. He is a bit of a bone bag. Still he's got a handsome face
You could comb him for years and he would still look scruffy.
Viva Ted
This is one of the best portraits of a cat I've ever seen. Very nicely done.
We should look so good at his relative age.
Kay is correct - the picture of feline dignity.
A lovely portrait :-)
Thanks He can still pull a nice pic out of the hat despite being on his last legs
