The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Actually it isn't. It was discovered on the walls of Nottingham Castle and being night scented it attracts nocturnal insects like moths
What a curious flower, I love the first shot.
It really is lovely isn't it. Then again the best things come in small packages!
