The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Support bands I have seen #2
Spanish HM Band Baron Rojo supporting Hawkwind at the Southampton Gaumont October (or was it November?) 1982. I don't recall them going down that well but not as badly as the crowd treated Tandoori Cassette when they suppported the hawks at the Stroud Leisure Centre in December 1981!

Support bands can often upstage the main act, can't they? I remember Jane doing that. Jane who?
Jane as in Hollywood Tease, James?
A shame that Marmalade Phonebooth never got to support Hawkwind. Remember Baron Rojo well, though never got to see them play.
