The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
I missed that first flower before. Wow,it is outstanding.Best Wishes.
I remember all the pretty flowers and your cats. :)
Exceptional; each and every one. However, that first flower takes my breath away. Stunning.
The silhouette of the crow in flight is very impressive. How far from home did you take that one? ... as the crow flies, I mean...(CAPTCHA text: "kraphin". Wouldn't that be more appropriate for the little statue of the Pope on his Throne?)
Thanks everyone. Actually Steve it was about 2 metres!

Plant Pornography and the evil but lazy Ted. Never before has evil been so lazy.
Thanks for reminding me of cat on a hot green roof and the kiss ;-)
Great photos, happy holidays.Smiles
Love your kitty. I have one of mine too this week. Happy Holidays!
You had me at Phygelius flower which I took for a snap dragon.Oooh the slice of tort looks tempting but how silly. It's hard to believe some of our laws are real. When you think of what people get away with like murder for instance. (That cake would be great plus or minus a cherry, who really cares when it comes right down too it. "waiter..." ;)
Great shots all. I remember some of them well.
Great choices for your retrospective. Beauty, and a little bit of humor. Hope to see more next year!
They are all lovely photos but I especially love the Crow in flight. It is awesome.:)
